Two sections — your funeral home and your personal keyholder. Each plays a different role. Both matter.
Ideally, designate your funeral home as your first keyholder. They already handle death certificates — saying yes costs them nothing and means everything. They are already in the room when the time comes.
If choosing a trusted friend or family member, pick one primary and add a backup. You can update your keyholders at any time.
